Originally from South Africa, Elle grew up in Hong Kong and has called New York City home since 2011. She completed her PhD in Relational Frame Theory at the National University of Ireland, Galway, her MSc at the University of Auckland, and her HonsBSc at the University of Toronto.
Elle has been working with children since 2002. Her research and clinical focus bridges meaningful, functional language (RFT) and helping children get unstuck from their thoughts so they can find meaning and joy in their lives (ACT). She has published articles and book chapters on RFT and complex language development.
Dr. Eilers received her doctorate in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis from the University of Nevada, Reno. With 25 years of clinical experience, she has worked across developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, brain injury, and gerontology.
Beyond direct clinical work, Dr. Eilers has served as an Organizational Behavior Management Consultant to multiple organizations. Her research contributions span sexual assault prevention, domestic violence, family court, psychoneuroimmunology, functional analysis, and Interbehaviorism.
Her areas of expertise include domestic violence, post-separation abuse, trauma, Relational Frame Theory, and Acceptance and Commitment Training — bringing deep compassion to the most complex human experiences.
Originally from England, Sophie grew up across the UK, Australia, Singapore, and the US. She earned her MA in Human Learning and Development from CU Denver with a concentration in Early Childhood Special Education.
Her training at Boulder Journey School immersed her in the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education. She then earned her BCBA and International Behavior Analyst credentials at the Florida Institute of Technology. She hopes to inspire in every student a love of lifelong learning.
Dr. Cassidy is founder of The Smithsfield Clinic in Ireland, and has 18 years of experience as an educational psychologist within the Irish school system. She lectures in Psychology at Maynooth University, Ireland.
She authored the first empirical demonstration of the positive effects of intensive derived relational responding skill interventions on intelligence (Cassidy, Roche & Hayes, 2011). As co-founder of Relational Frame Training Ltd, she developed the widely used SMART online training software.
